Dr. Gabbay is a child and adolescent psychiatrist specializing in substance abuse disorders, eating disorders, as well as adolescent mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders. His clinical experience encompasses providing medication management and therapy services to a diverse range of clients, with specialized intensive clinical training with dual diagnosis clients (patients with substance abuse disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders). He is passionate about the care he provides and strives to constantly self-educate through continuing medical education training/self-directed learning, as well as teaching his colleagues. Dr. Gabbay’s philosophy towards medication management follows a holistic, interdisciplinary approach.
Chris is a Founder of Visions Adolescent Treatment Centers. In 1999, he started his career in the treatment rehabilitation field. Prior to Visions, Chris was the director of operations for an adult substance abuse treatment center. It was there that he further enhanced his knowledge and groomed his skills in the field of recovery.
In 2002, Visions was born. Chris had envisioned building an adolescent program that provided effective treatment for substance abuse and mental-health issues. He knew from the start that Visions had to address the adolescents’ emotional growth, physical well-being, psychological health, and family relationships. Chris has proven to be an inspiration and role model for Visions’ adolescents and families.
